As the ongoing presidential county tour which is meant to appreciate the confidence reposed in President George Manneh Weah as well as to listen to burning issues effecting the livelihood of the Liberian people, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection is leading a delegation in keeping with her responsibility to the development, empowerment and protection of women, girls and children as well as the vulnerable in ensuring that the plights of women and children are highlighted and documented on the tour and subsequently addressed by the Feminist-In-Chief.

As part of the ongoing Presidential County Tour by His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah, diverse women from Bong County converged at the Capital -Gbarnga and presented gifts to the Liberian Leader and his wife Amb. Clar Maria Weah on Sunday, February 14, 2021. The women used the occasion to laud the President for the tremendous progress made across the country.

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) informs the public that with the aid of the Liberia National Police (LNP) a 16-year-old girl has been rescued from child marriage. The minor was scheduled to be wedded on Monday, June 8, 2020 to a polygamist named Jusu Kenneh, a resident of the Banjor Community, in Montserrado County. Jusu is already a husband of two wives and the minor was to become his third wife.
