As the Nation clocks 174th years of Independence, Gender Ministry remain steadfast in promoting the development, empowerment and protection of women, girls, children and vulnerable people as enshrined in our mandate.

We offer supplication to God Almighty for His continuous preservation of the Nation and wisdom for all leaders in authority as they work for the collective benefit and protection of the Liberian People.

In observance of the Nation's Independence, the Ministry reiterates the dire need for parents, caregivers and guardians to closely monitor the movement of children during the Independence celebration.

Gender urges the Ministry of Justice to maintain and enforce the zero tolerance sale of alcohol and narcotic substances to minors, and ensure the protection of children from areas that are child unfriendly.

Happy Independence to all! Let's continue to uphold the safety guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health aimed at eradicating COVID-19 from our shores.
