~More Women Employment In Sight
Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Hon. Gbem Horace-Kollie, recently toured the soon-to-be-opened National Civil Service Testing Center (NCSTC), led by Director General Josiah Joekai of the Civil Service Agency (CSA). The center, which is nearing completion, is expected to revolutionize the recruitment and capacity-building processes for civil servants across the country.
The tour provided an in-depth look at the cutting-edge facility, which is poised to modernize the recruitment process for civil servants across Liberia.
Minister Kollie expressed her excitement about the center’s potential to enhance merit-based recruitment, ensuring that qualified individuals, including women and marginalized groups, have equal access to opportunities in public service. The NCSTC is expected to streamline hiring and improve transparency in the civil service, aligning with the government’s broader objectives of promoting efficiency and inclusivity.
Director General Joekai emphasized that the center will play a critical role in assessing and selecting candidates for government positions, ultimately contributing to a more capable and professional workforce. The NCSTC, when fully operational, is set to become a cornerstone for human resource development in Liberia’s public sector.
During the tour, DG Joekai highlighted that the state-of-the-art facilities and the center’s advanced testing mechanisms are designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and merit-based recruitment for Liberia’s public sector.
The Gender Boss also expressed her appreciation for the initiative, noting its potential to recruit, empower more women and youth by providing equal opportunities in the civil service.
