Anchored in UN Security Council Resolution (UNSC) 1325, the Women Peace & Security agenda was groundbreaking in recognizing the importance of women’s participation and gender perspectives in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and security. It stands as one of the most significant achievements of the global women’s rights movement, affirming that peace is inextricably linked with gender equality and women’s leadership.
