Gender Applauds LFA For The Empowerment of Female Inmates

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for launching the groundbreaking CAF License D Coaching Course for female inmates at the Monrovia Central Prison.

This initiative aligns closely with ongoing efforts to empower women, promote gender equality, and create meaningful opportunities for the rehabilitation and reintegration of female inmates into society.

It also stands as a testament to the power of sports, particularly football, in transforming lives, uplifting communities, and promoting social change. By offering female inmates the chance to acquire a recognized coaching qualification, the LFA and CAF are providing not only an invaluable skill set but also a pathway to a brighter, more promising future upon their release.

The Ministry strongly believes that such initiatives create avenues for women to regain their dignity, rediscover their potential, and become agents of change within their respective communities.

We look forward to collaborating with the Liberia Football Association and other partners, as we work together to empower women and vulnerable populations through impactful programs. The Ministry also believes that such initiatives have the power to break barriers, foster inclusion, and create opportunities for many who might otherwise be overlooked.

We applaud the FA, CAF, and all stakeholders involved in this initiative for their visionary leadership and commitment to uplifting women in Liberia. This move serves as an excellent model to create lasting and positive change for women across our country.

We encourage all participants to seize this unique opportunity, and we look forward to seeing them flourish not only as football coaches but as empowered women, equipped with the skills and confidence to succeed in every facet of life.

Meanwhike, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection reaffirms its commitment to collaborating with initiatives like these that seek to elevate women, build a more inclusive society, and ensure that every woman has the opportunity to live a life of dignity and purpose.
