The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP), through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), continues to invest in the personal development and future leadership of adolescents and young people through the Champion of Change Club Module. The initiative provides young people with practical knowledge and life skills that strengthen their confidence, leadership abilities, communication, and capacity to make positive choices. Confidence is not simply about speaking loudly; it is about understanding one’s worth, communicating with respect, standing up for what is right, and having the courage to make responsible decisions.
Under the leadership of MGCSP, the Champion of Change Club Module equips young people with essential skills to set meaningful life goals, communicate assertively, resist negative peer pressure, establish healthy boundaries, and resolve disagreements peacefully. Through these practical lessons, club members are encouraged to understand themselves, respect others, and develop positive attitudes and behaviors that can guide them in school, at home, and within their communities. By creating spaces where adolescents can learn, express themselves, and engage in constructive discussions, the initiative helps young people develop the confidence to overcome challenges and become responsible decision-makers.
