The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) continues to turn commitment into action in Parker Town, Gbarma District, where 10 women-led businesses have officially signed their Livelihood Grant Agreements and Code of Conduct under the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), with support from the World Bank.
The beneficiaries include 6 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), 1 farmer-based group, and 3 individual businesses from communities across the district. These grants will help expand businesses, strengthen livelihoods, and create new economic opportunities for women and their families.
The participating groups are Kwapaigie VSLA, Effort Women VSLA, “A” Jeden VSLA, Dewah Clan VSLA, Hold Your Heart VSLA, Kwan Kpan VSLA, Dorcas Gotolo, Fatu K. Sheriff Business Center, Sea Never Dry Business Center, and Mesuargun Farmers Group.
Every agreement signed is more than a document—it is a commitment to growth, resilience, and a brighter future. Through the LWEP, the MGCSP continues to empower women to build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen their communities, and drive Liberia’s development.
