CONGRATULATIONS! MGCSP Delivers Impact in Gbarma District!

The Ministry Of Gender, Children And Social Protection-Liberia (MGCSP) is making real change happen in Gbarma District as women-led businesses step forward to transform their futures.

Through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), supported by the World Bank, a total of 10 businesses have successfully signed their Livelihood Grant Agreements and Code of Conduct, marking a major milestone in women’s economic empowerment. This includes 5 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), 1 Farmers’ Cooperative (FBO), and 4 Individual Enterprises (IEs), demonstrating strong community participation and inclusive growth.

From Brown Village to Yangaryah Town, businesses such as Money in the Bush VSLA, Musu J. Garnett Provision Shop, Smith Town People’s Yearly Saving Club, Grass Roots Loan & Yearly Saving Club, Care for My People Farmers Cooperative Society, Fatu Business Center, Gongowaynaway, Measuagoon Village Saving, Sadayah VSLA, and Bendu Business Center are now equipped to expand, create income, and uplift their communities.

These are women rising, communities growing, and MGCSP delivering empowerment where it matters most.
