The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection continues to advance women’s economic empowerment through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), creating opportunities for women-led businesses to grow and thrive across Liberia. Yesterday, women in Bopolu, Gbarpolu County, took an important step forward by signing their grant agreements and Code of Conduct, officially paving the way to receive support that will strengthen their businesses, improve household incomes, and contribute to the development of their communities. This milestone reflects the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to investing in women as drivers of sustainable economic growth and community transformation.
The grant signing ceremony serves as a powerful reminder that delay is not denial. While progress may not always come as quickly as expected, determination, resilience, and commitment continue to open doors for lasting change. Through LWEP, the Ministry remains dedicated to empowering women with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed, ensuring that more women can build stronger businesses, support their families, and create a brighter future for generations to come.
