The Ministry Of Gender, Children And Social Protection-Liberia (MGCSP) through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), a SASA! Together Awareness Phase Training was successfully conducted in Cooper’s Farm, Careysburg.
The training convened 40 community change agents, including 19 Community Activists, 11 Community Leaders, and 10 Drama Group members, comprising 21 women and 20 men. Participants enhanced their knowledge of gender equality, violence prevention, healthy relationships, and effective community mobilization strategies.
Equipped with these strengthened competencies, participants are now well-positioned to challenge harmful social norms, promote respect and dignity, and contribute to the creation of safer communities for women and girls.
Through the leadership of MGCSP and the implementation of the SASA! Together approach, communities in Careysburg are making meaningful progress toward a future free from violence and discrimination.
