Gbarpolu Counties 2 July, 2026:
Under the Liberia Women Empowerment Project, a Government of Liberia project implemented by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection with funding support from the World Bank, an end-of-start phase assessment has been completed in Gbarpolu County.
The assessment covered eight communities across three districts: Bokomu, Gbarma, and Bopolu. Communities visited included Belle Kpalamu, Gungbe-ta, Gbarma Town, Beato Town, Zuo Town, Sappimah, Gaynimah, and Farwhen-ta.
#Women, #men, and #youth participated through focus group discussions, providing valuable insights on project progress, community experiences, and areas requiring further support.
The assessment is expected to generate evidence on progress toward phase outcomes, document good practices and success stories, inform decision-making for the next phase, and strengthen #accountability and #learning across project communities.
