MGCSP Leads Social Protection Efforts Through REALISE Project Monitoring Tour.

The Hon. Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Gbeme Horace Kollie, has joined members of the REALISE Project Steering Committee on a monitoring tour to Nimba County, underscoring the Government’s commitment to strengthening social protection and improving the livelihoods of vulnerable and marginalized communities across Liberia.

The tour forms part of the Steering Committee’s ongoing field assessment, which will take the team to Nimba, Bong, Grand Bassa, and Rivercess Counties to assess project implementation, visit project sites, and engage directly with beneficiaries to better understand the impact of the REALISE Project.

As Chairperson of the National Social Protection Steering Committee and a member of the REALISE Project Steering Committee, Minister Kollie continues to play a critical leadership role in advancing Liberia’s social protection agenda.

Through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, social protection interventions are being strengthened to ensure that vulnerable households and communities are better supported with opportunities that promote resilience, economic inclusion, and improved living conditions.

The REALISE Project provides an important platform for translating Liberia’s social protection priorities into tangible support for communities. The Ministry’s engagement in the project helps strengthen coordination, accountability, beneficiary engagement, and alignment with the Government’s broader social protection objectives.

The field tour also provides an opportunity for the Ministry and its partners to hear directly from beneficiaries, identify implementation gaps, document progress, and ensure that project interventions respond effectively to the needs of communities.

Minister Kollie’s participation therefore reflects the Ministry’s commitment to people-centered social protection, inclusive development, and stronger coordination of programs designed to reduce vulnerability and improve household resilience.

Through continued monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with development partners, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection remains committed to ensuring that social protection investments deliver meaningful and sustainable impact for vulnerable Liberians.
