Ministry Of Gender, Children And Social Protection-Liberia, through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), continues to invest in empowering communities with the knowledge and skills needed to create lasting positive change.
Twenty (20) Community-Based Activists and Leaders successfully completed a three-day SASA! Together Supplementary Training in Guie Town, Klay District. Equipped with new skills in community mobilization, leadership engagement, gender-based violence prevention, and social norms transformation, these community champions are now better prepared to promote peaceful relationships and safer communities for women and girls.
The training brought together 17 Community Leaders and 3 Activists, including 11 women and 9 men, demonstrating inclusive participation and the importance of collective action. Participants also included Persons with Disabilities, ensuring that no one is left behind.
When communities gain knowledge, they gain power. When leaders gain skills, communities grow stronger.
