The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, through its Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP) – Project Management Unit, together with the World Bank and key service providers, conducted a joint monitoring visit to beneficiaries in Rural Montserrado. The visit aimed to assess progress made over time, identify existing challenges, and provide the necessary support to ensure sustainable outcomes for women-led businesses.
The team visited Frank Town Community, where they met six VSLAs: Fahn Gorto Town Saving Club, Kesseh Town, Wortor, Kwakutor, Wellekamah, and Degigi, along with Mamie Jessie-Individual Enterprise.
In Diamond Creek Community, the team reviewed VSLA records and praised members for cooperation and proper record keeping. Madam A.C. Flomo shared that LWEP grant support helped her start gardening and selling dry goods, improving her family’s livelihood.
Beneficiaries thanked the Government of Liberia through #MGCSP for improving women’s lives and expanding business opportunities.
The joint monitoring visit continues across Rural Montserrado
