The Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP) Joint Field Monitoring Exercise has successfully concluded in Rivercess County, reaching and engaging more than 500 beneficiaries across the county’s administrative districts. The exercise provided an opportunity to assess project progress, gather feedback, and strengthen collaboration with communities.
The monitoring team engaged a broad range of stakeholders, including Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), Individual Enterprises (IEs), Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs), community and youth leaders, activists, and Community-Based Agents (CBAs). These discussions highlighted the positive impact the project is having on livelihoods while creating a platform for beneficiaries to share their experiences and recommendations.
Beneficiaries and stakeholders expressed strong appreciation for the project and emphasized the need for an extension of the implementation period to expand its reach, ensuring that more women and men can benefit from the opportunities provided under the initiative.
With the Rivercess County exercise now complete, the Joint Monitoring Team has moved to Grand Gedeh County, where similar monitoring and community engagement activities will continue as part of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the impact of the Liberia Women Empowerment Project across Liberia.
