In Tubmanburg, Bomi County, learning moved from theory to the field as the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP), through the Liberia Women Empowerment Project (LWEP), escalated hands-on Climate-Smart Agriculture training using the SMART Skill 2.0 approach.
A total of 40 participants, including 39 women and 1 man, took part in the field demonstration under Bomi Training Cluster 2, gaining practical knowledge through learning by doing.
This hands-on approach is important because it helps participants see, practice, and understand improved farming methods that protect the soil, strengthen production, and build resilience against climate challenges.
The same practical Climate-Smart Agriculture field demonstration has also been conducted in Gbarpolu County, expanding knowledge and skills for women-led livelihoods.
Through LWEP, a Government of Liberia project implemented by MGCSP with funding support from the World Bank, women are not just learning agriculture; they are growing confidence, resilience, and stronger futures.
