lead-by-example Gender Minister, Saydee-Tarr Undergoes COVID-19 Voluntary Testing

On Thursday, July 30, 2020, Gender Children and Social Protection Minister Williametta E. Saydee-Tarr went to the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex Specimen Collection site to voluntarily have her specimen taken to get it tested for the CoronaVirus. According to the Gender Boss, her voluntary testing places her in a better position to encourage others to do same.

Minister Tarr noted that early testing for COVID-19 leads to accurate identification of cases, quick treatment for those positive and immediate isolation to prevent spread as well as identifying anyone who came into contact with infected people.

Minister Tarr disclosed that her result came negative and that of her Driver and Expeditor who took the test with her.

"Though the State of Emergency has expired but COVID-19 hasn't! The need to maintain and promote public health measures such as wearing of facemasks, social distancing, washing of hands, avoidance of face touching, etc are still relevant", Saydee-Tarr cautioned.

The Minister calls on the general public to take advantage of the free specimen collection for COVID-19 test and the adherence of public health measures especially now that the country has opened up.
"Adhering to the health protocols puts us all in a better place as the life you save, might as well be your own or, that of a loved one. Let's remain relentless in the fight against this pandemic, until COVID-19 is eradicated from the face of the earth", Minister Tarr opined.
