Adolescent Girls Division
The Adolescent Girls Division leads on designing, developing and implementing frameworks for mainstreaming adolescent girls in the work of ministries, agencies, commissions and all other public institutions. The Division leads on the advocacy of adolescent girls’ issues by developing and implementing a framework for their promotion and empowerment; as well as preparing and implementing national information, education and communication (IEC) programs on adolescent girls. The Division provides technical and leadership support to the Adolescent Girls Working Group and the Adolescent Girls Advisory Panel, respectively.
With guidance from the Minister and the Deputy Minister for Gender, the Division provides technical support and ensure the annual observance of the International Day of the Girl Child and the National Young Women and Girls Conference.
The Director and Assistant Director head the Division, respectively, with support from other staff members to include, the Administrative Assistant, Program Officer and Officer Assistant.
